No leave of absence is granted except on previous written application from the parents or guardians and that too only for serious reasons. If the absence is more than a week a copy of the application counter-signed by the Principal/Headmistress should be kept by parents and produced when the student returns to school.
A student absenting himself/herself from school for (two weeks) 14 consecutive days without permission will be marked ‘Left’, if he/she is to be readmitted it will be treated as new candidate needing re-admission. If the absence is due to sickness or other grave reasons the school authorities must be notified in writing within three days of absence.
A student returning to school after an infection or contagious disease should produce a doctor’s certificate.
Students who have been absent from class must have the reason for their absence briefly noted in the ‘Absent Page’ by the parents with signature attached. Reasons of a private nature may be intimated by letters.
Those who have been absent and late to be admitted to the class must show their teacher their ‘Regularity Record’ duly counter-signed by the Principal/Headmistress.
Absence without leave after vacation renders the students to a fine of Rs.50/- on re-opening day and Rs.10/- on subsequent days. After one week name will be struck off the rolls.
No student will be allowed to go away during school hours without a previous written application from parent/guardian stating the reason which must be a serious one. Parents/guardians must accompany the student to take early departure from school.
Students who have less than 80% of attendance will not be allowed to sit for Final Examination.
